É isso aí, 26 de Março estarei no Morumbi para o primeiro show no Brasil do " THE FINAL FRONTIER WORLD TOUR - 2011".
O primeiro show será dia 11 de fevereiro em Moscow, de onde o Boeing 757, que contará com novo design para combinar com o novo álbum e turnê, voará com a banda para Cingapura e Indonésia para os primeiros shows do Maiden na região, antes de aterrisar na Austrália para atuar como headline em duas apresentações isola das e participação em cinco datas do festival Soundwave. O Ed Force One então voltará sua atenção brevemente para o hemisfério norte com um show inicial na Coréia do Sul e dois shows em Tóquio, antes de prosseguir para o Pacífico, uma jornada que (acredite se quiser!) os levará a 6660 milhas para dois shows no México. Então seguirá uma ampla série de shows em estádios por cinco países da América Latina, incluindo a primeira visita à Belém, no Norte do Brasil, e, via Porto Rico, a banda segue para o último show desta parte da turnê em Tampa, na Flórida, EUA, no dia 17 de abril, exatos 66 dias após o início em Moscou!
A Donzela de Ferro confirmou 6 shows no Brasil, com datas nas cidades de São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Belém, Recife e Curitiba. A nova passagem da banda por nosso país tem a mesma quantidade de shows de 2009 quando o Iron Maiden havia feito também 6 apresentações. Será que ainda teremos mais datas?

Acho que curti o som do Maiden desde o primeiro LP, lembro muito de curtir Strange World, baita vocal do Paul Di'Anno.
Mas The Number foi, e acho que é ainda um dos ícones do Heavy Metal, aí vem aquela coisa de querer rotular o Iron como New Wave of British Heavy Metal (N.W.O.B.H.M.). No meu entendimento, é Heavy Metal da melhor qualidade. Esse álbum meio que coincidiu com a vinda para o Rock In Rio em 1985. Bate uma saudade tremenda me lembro das sessões com os amigos escutando 22 Acacia Avenue, The Number of the Beast, The Trooper. Quer matar um pouco a saudade e lembrar como foi a participação do Iron no Rock in Rio I.
Iron Maiden é uma banda britânica de heavy metal, formada em 1975[1] pelo baixista Steve Harris, ex-integrante das bandas Gypsy's Kiss e Smiler. Originária de Londres, foi uma das principais bandas do movimento musical que ficou conhecido como NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal). O nome "Iron Maiden" alguns dizem que foi inspirado em um instrumento de tortura medieval[2] que aparece no filme O Homem da Máscara de Ferro. Esse também era o apelido da ex-primeira ministra britânica Margaret Thatcher, que aparece nas capas dos compactos "Women in Uniform" e "Sanctuary".
Com mais de três décadas de existência, quinze álbuns de estúdio, seis álbuns ao vivo, catorze vídeos e diversos compactos, o Iron Maiden é uma das mais importantes e bem sucedidas bandas de toda a história do heavy metal, tendo vendido mais de 85 milhões de álbuns registrados em todo o mundo.[3] Seu trabalho influenciou diversas bandas de rock e metal. A banda têm diversas canções baseadas em lendas, livros, histórias e filmes, entre as quais The Phantom of the Opera, The Wicker Man, The Prisoner, Stranger in a Strange Land - que é um romance de ficção científica de 1961, escrito por Robert A. Heinlein, Murders In The Rue Morgue, Flight of Icarus, Where Eagles Dare, Rime of the Ancient Mariner - baseada no poema de Samuel Coleridge -, To Tame a Land - da série de ficção científica Duna, de Frank Herbert - e The Trooper - canção baseada no romance The Charge of The Light Brigade, "Sun and Steel" baseada na história do samurai Miyamoto Musashi, que é contada no livro "Musashi" de Eiji Yoshikawa, e também a música Alexander The Great, que fala sobre a vida do rei da macedônia, Alexandre, o Grande. O que contribui para isso é o fato de o baixista Steve Harris ser um estudioso de história, principalmente egípcia, e o vocalista Bruce Dickinson ser formado no curso de história.

Well, after many years of waiting, another one of my dreams will be realized, seeing Maiden LIVE.
Yeah, I'll be March 26 at Morumbi for the first show in Brazil's "THE FINAL FRONTIER WORLD TOUR - 2011".

I think I enjoyed the sound of Maiden from the first LP, I remember very much enjoying Strange World, nice vocal from Paul Di'Anno.
But The Number has been, and still think it's one of the icons of heavy metal, there is one thing to want to label the Iron as New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM).
